Every place in the world holds a huge archive of stories hidden in the folds of time. Stories, reports, experiences that are waiting to be revealed and shared.

THELAND is a collaboration of professionals in the field of communications, entertainment and ICT world with the aim of bringing to light this memory - personal, collective - and turn it into narrative content, publicly accessible through any device connected to the Net.

Within the platform it is possible to identify any place and open up a "time gap", a space where to insert content related to their experience of the place.
THELAND then gives access to a narrative magical dimension, dream, discover where stories and memories of those who passed at a given place in time.
In addition to opening to the boundless wealth of personal memory and popular it adds the ability to import THELAND existing datasets and shared elsewhere, for creating maps and thematic projects (eg. The peoples and territories memories) on any scale. Great attention is paid to the theming of the maps that can return data for multiple purposes (web, publishing, video installations, analysis and research, social media marketing, etc).

 

The Varchi
A passage is formed from point coordinates and graphically represented by an instant (the image attributed by the author and, subsequently, the image of the most popular contained in it).
Inside, the sequence of contributions reconstructs the story through the experiences and shared memories. Each door also offers a private messaging service and a public bulletin board. The first reserved for the contributors, to favor the proliferation of themed community on the single site. The second is open to all, to encourage multiple levels of interaction between users.

 

Labor taxes
At time of writing, the elements that make up a path are placed in time by date or range and are identified in three macro areas (tag):
- Once: event or memory from the past
- Now: testimony in real time
- Me: personal experience
A contribution is made by title, date, tag, text, and any photographic objects, audio or video, attachments or imported by third parties through embedding.

 

Community
THELAND allows you to enter and consult data by putting in time in connection with the places and people, producing a universal database and a powerful search engine of memory.
Each user has a public profile which outlines its activities. Relations between members of the community are through the dynamics of social networking: connnessione between users, approval ratings of content, rewards.

 

Search
Within THELAND are Fitri and research how to promote the user experience:
a first filter named Time Slider referring exclusively to the placement of gates and contributions in time and an internal search engine that can further filter your results by user, tag, time interval.

 

Navigation
The main room of THELAND is constituted by a map which, combined to the Time Slider, it allows to reach the totality of the shared gates and entering in each of them. There is also a mode of exploration in Augmented Reality, in line with the suggestions that animate the project, the user reveals the gaps in the environment that surrounds it.

THELAND is currently in development platform for the web and for mobile devices (iOS / Android).
It is additional variations in scope Wearable Technology / Internet of Things (smartglasses, smartwatches).

The mobile device is particularly suited to the creation of contributions because it allows you to insert gaps and contributions the instant you live or relive a memory. The consultation process is however certainly easier and engaging web, or by placing a big screen, but from the web you can also have access to the insertion of contributions functionality.
